Veganism and the Amazon

Cafu teams up with Vegan Nation to protect the Amazon

Vegan Nation, Bnei-Brak based vegan enterprise, has drafted in Brazilian football legend to work as the company’s brand ambassador. Cafu, who at 49 has already retired from football, helped Brazil win the World Cup in 2002.

Vegan Nation‘s mission is to create a fully vegan economy and have even launched its own Vegan Coin cryptocurrency and social marketplace.

Amidst the fire crisis that has burnt vast swaths of the Amazon in August, Vegan Nation  secured a 10-year lease to preserve 15,000 acres of the world’s largest and most biodiverse rainforest. The company intends to join forces with NGOs and activists to protect it against miners, loggers and cattle-ranchers, who have grown bolder under the new fascist government.

“It is really important to have a healthy environment, and to help the Amazon – a really important cause to embrace and be a part of,” said Cafu during a visit to Vegan Nation’s office.

The vegan Israeli start-up has already raised $10 million in funding, and is hoping to raise another $10 million.
